For the face/back veneers of our Chinese Industrial Plywood we are using engineered veneer, so called “fineline”, or hardwood species. The layer build-up can vary from Poplar or Eucalyptus throughout to a combination of both. For our hardwood face/back plywood we are working with knot free full veneer sheets from spp like Pencil Cedar, Sapele and Kosipo. Fineline decks are produced from Poplar veneer which is composed in a special technique. The Poplar veneer is first glued together to a solid block. The “veneer block” is then turned around 90 degrees and sliced again into thin veneer. This results in a very nice stripes design. The final colour can be adjusted according to clients orders before production. The standard colour is reddish-brownish similar to red hardwoods. FSC® certification is available for both on request.
